The Ron Paul campaign is gearing up to escalate its battle to destroy the U.S. Constitution in order to save it and to otherwise bugger our imaginations with rampaging insanity by taking the fight to the skies! Pictured, at right, is the Paulites latest atrocity: an artist's concept of what would be the Ron Paul Blimp! The Dread Zeppelin! La dirigible unintelligible! It will float from town to town, and, if the description the Paul supporter behind this idea is accurate, confuse the minds of men!
Imagine.. the mainstream media is mesmerized as the image of the Ron Paul blimp is shown to tens of millions of Americans throughout the day (and throughout the month). Wolf Blizter [sic], stunned and as if in a trance, repeats the words "Amazing, Amazing".
You have to admit, this sounds AWESOME.
As GPS co-ordinates stream to the website a map shows the Ron Paul blimp's location in real time. The local Television stations broadcast its every move. The curious flock together and make a trip to see history in the making. Emails with pictures are sent, then forwarded, then forwarded again. Youtube videos go viral and reach tens of millions of views. Ron Paul becomes the first presidential candidate in history to have his very own blimp. The PR stunt generates millions upon millions of dollars worth in free publicity, and captures the imagination of America.
But why stop there? Why don't we raise some money to buy Ron Paul his very own kangaroo? He can climb in the pouch and hop from campaign stop to campaign stop! Wolf Blitzer will look on, dumbfounded, muttering, "Stunning...wondrous!"
The thing is, these Paulites are deadly serious about this. They claim to have raised over $98,000 toward the $350K they think will make this blimp a reality. And if the picture below is any indication, the next terrorist-themed movie they aim to fetishize may be Black Sunday.
Really. Isn't it time to consider whether we might all be better off if we simply gave in to Ron Paul's demands?

Ron Paul sends shockwaves across the political landscape, Americans want to be free
Ron Paul sends shockwaves across the political landscape, Americans want to be free Larry Fester

Republican Presidential Candidate and Texas Congressman, Ron Paul, just shook the foundations of the political universe yesterday. In one day he proved he has a legitimate shot at winning Republican nomination.
Ron Paul’s campaign broke records yesterday raking in 4.2 million dollars in a single day. The fund raising effort broke the record for online donations set by John Kerry just after Super Tuesday in 2004. It was the most money raised by any Republican in one day so far in this campaign.
Ron Paul received over 40,000 donations from individuals across America. Americans from all walks of life appear to be drawn to Paul’s message of peace, freedom, and prosperity.
“Is it possible to comprehend what we've done today? Earth-shattering, jaw-dropping... No matter which way you phrase it, Ron Paul is for real.” were enthusiastic words of Paul’s Fundraising Director, Jonathan Bydlak.
Media companies may have to abandon polls altogether or adjust them accordingly. The only place where Paul seems to lack support is in media generated polls. If they continue to cover paul as a minor candidate they may see a drop in their ratings.
Paul’s unifying message is unique among the Republican and Democratic candidates running for president. He’s doesn’t play divisive politics by attempting to use race or economic class as wedge issues. He attracts Conservatives, Liberals, and Independents to his cause. Paul’s message of freedom is clearly resonating.
Paul’s defense of civil liberties and the Bill of Rights have made him a kind of folk hero. He voted against the Patriot Act and has promised to ‘repeal the police state.’ Paul has also warned against increasing the power of the presidency to dangerous levels and disrupting the balance of power in the government.
The only Republican running for president to have voted against the Iraq war, Paul says he will bring the troops home immediately. Paul has been critical of Hillary Clinton on the Iraq War and Congress for transferring “illegally the power and responsibility of congress to the president.”
Paul who has never voted for a tax increase or unbalanced budget, seeks to eliminate federal income taxes. He also has been critical of the Federal Reserve’s ability to “print money out of thin air” and wants to reform the monetary system by authorizing competing currencies backed by gold and silver.
Ron Paul continues to draw large crowds and raise more money than most of the other candidates. The Ron Paul Liberty Rally on November 10th in Philadelphia, during Veterans’ Day Weekend, will likely continue Paul’s momentum. The event will be at Independence Mall across the street from Independence Hall.
The location is fitting for Paul’s campaign theme. As one Paul supporter said, “Posers wave the flag, Patriots wave the Constitution”.

Ron Paul mounting a serious challenge for the GOP nomination
Ron Paul mounting a serious challenge for the GOP nomination Maple Brown
Published 10/31/2007 - 3:38 p.m. EDT
It appears that all of the media polls were wrong and Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul is mounting a serious challenge for the GOP nomination. Paul’s campaign will be hosting several events in South Carolina.
Ron Paul’s presidential campaign will be opening up an office in Greenville South Carolina tomorrow, holding a campaign rally in downtown Columbia on Friday, and opening another office in Columbia South Carolina on Saturday.
After a couple other events Paul will be at a rally on November 10th in Philadelphia. PA.
Paul continues to run a multi state campaign drawing significant crowds and supporters wherever he goes. Paul’s campaign seems to be running a national campaign and not just an Iowa New Hampshire strategy.
According to Paul’s website the campaign raised 2.5 million this month alone about half of what he raised last quarter.
Paul appeared on the Tonight Show last night and the mainstream audience was very supportive of his views. Paul was applauded for promoting reforms to the monetary system and eliminating federal income taxes as well as a non interventionist foreign policy.
The long time Republican appears to be energizing the party base that has been demoralized by the Bush presidency yet still seems to be expanding the party at the same time. (Visit the USA Daily Forum to discuss this and other issues.)

Hillary Clinton versus Ron Paul?

Hillary Clinton versus Ron Paul?
By Noel Gibeson
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Despite her formidable political machine, Hillary Clinton’s worst fear may be that she could be running against Ron Paul in 2008.
Why? Because he may be the Republican that can garner more support from a younger demographic as it gets closer to the election. A recent Rasmussen Report data supports this. According to USA Election Poll, “Ron Paul Better in the General Election than Giuliani and Thompson Among 30 Year Olds; Leads Hillary Clinton 47% to 44% Among 40 Year Olds.”
Why? Because not only is he the only Republican in the contest who is against unnecessary and unconstitutional wars overseas, but because he actually follows the constitution. Young people eagerly support him and much of his support, perhaps as much as 70%, comes from the 20-30 age demographic. They are afraid for the future of this country and that they will have to give more and more of their money to the federal government to manage for them.
And if the dowdy Mrs. Clinton (or is it Rodham-Clinton; so hard to keep track) is elected, then that is exactly what will happen. She wants to institute socialized healthcare dubbed Hillary-Care, based on solid Marxist –Leninist principles to redistribute wealth, and institutionalize central planning and control. And if that were not enough, she also wants to give each child born in the US $5,000.
Do you think that might encourage more anchor-babies? Do you think these two policies alone would encourage an even greater mass, illegal migration from Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean, not to mention the rest of the world?
And who is going to pay for all of this; Hillary and Bill? Of course not, it will be every working man and woman in this country. The people in this country need to rise-up and say, “enough is enough.”
And has she forgotten the current and future disastrous condition of the Social Security System instituted by another Democratic president named Franklin D. Roosevelt? No wonder the 30 and 40-somethings are scared to death; I would be too! In fact, I am.
Not only is Ron Paul anti-war, but he is ‘for’ the U.S. Constitution and what our Founding Fathers intended. He does not just give the Constitution lip-service like the other politicians. Therefore, he wants to cut the size and scope of the present government and let people manage the money that they earn for themselves. Why should we let the government manage our money when we do it better and more efficiently ourselves?
As a physician and Christian, he believes in the sanctity of life. His experience on the House banking and finance committees has given him great experience on the inner working of the budget and banking industry, not to mention the insolvency of the dollar that have been covered in greater detail elsewhere. And he is for our Second Amendment ownership of firearms.
He believes in an individual’s freedom and liberty and has voted to support them anyway he can. Rights are conferred by God, not by government. The fallacy that a government can bestow a right also means that a government can take away a right.
Many people already know and understand what Ron Paul stands for and more are finding out every day. If the choice is between Hillary Rodham-Clinton and Ron Paul, then there is no choice because the answer is clear: President Ron Paul represents the single, best choice to restore this country to its Constitutional foundations and to restore fiscal solvency.

Wonderful article. You articulate exactly why people my age care so much that Ron Paul is elected: we want our constitution back. I hope my fellow republicans realize that the "Ron Paul people" aren't just fringy leftists and libertarians; thereare many disaffected young republicans like me who had hope for Bush that was dashed and we are not going to remain a part of the party if it continues in the way it is.

Ron Paul makes sense
It seems many people think that Ron Paul is a kook, because his ideas seem "unrealistic" but I submit that the present state of affairs are unrealistic.
Our constitutional rights are being dissolved, we are in a war where nobody wins, scoundrels in the government are making secret deals with big business to form the NAU....
It seems to me like there is a feeding frenzy in Washington to tear apart our once great country.
Of course someone like Ron Paul would have powerful enemies in high places.
He is, however, loved and appreciated by many regular people who just want to be free.

Ron Paul, a true conservative.
Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate that can reach across and join peoples from all politcal backgrounds. He stands for the Consitution, and from what I see..even though many "liberals" may not agree with his conservative votes they are still supporting him because he backs the Constitution.
His message is one of Liberty and Freedom. Who can argue with that?

I`m writing from Germany to urgently ask Americans to consider Dr. Paul. Please save your powerful country (and forget that bulls*** about the great European welfare states your media is sometimes telling you - it`s softcore socialism)! You are the only ones (I know of) with such an outstanding Constitution and now you have the man who`s going to fight for it!

Low seizure rates give traffickers vast profits from £4bn a year business, says report ministers refuse to publish

The Guardian
The profit margins for major traffickers of heroin into Britain are so high they outstrip luxury goods companies such as Louis Vuitton and Gucci, according to a study that Downing Street is refusing to publish under freedom of information legislation.
Only the first half of the strategy unit study led by the former director general of the BBC, Lord Birt, was released last Friday. The other half was withheld but has been leaked to the Guardian.
It says that the traffickers enjoy such high profits that seizure rates of 60-80% are needed to have any serious impact on the flow of drugs into Britain but nothing greater than 20% has been achieved.
The study concludes that the estimated UK annual supply of heroin and cocaine could be transported into the country in five standard-sized shipping containers but has a value which at a conservative estimate tops £4bn.
The report was presented in its full form to Tony Blair in June 2003. Only 52 of its 105 pages were published on Friday night on the eve of the Live 8 concert, with a note saying the rest was being withheld under the Freedom of Information Act.
The government yesterday defended its decision not to publish the half of the report that delivers a scathing verdict on efforts to disrupt the drugs supply chain. The first 50 pages deal with drug consumption patterns and drug-related crime.
A Downing Street spokeswoman said the second half contained information supplied by law enforcement agencies dealing with security matters, it concerned the formulation of government policy and its publication would be prejudicial to the conduct of public affairs. But critics last night said much of the unpublished material was already in the public domain.
Among the data suppressed because it was supplied by an agency involved in security is a table on page 12 from the National Criminal Intelligence Service showing average street prices for various drugs. It estimates the average cost for a heavy user at £89 a week for cannabis and £525 for crack cocaine - information that is presumably at the fingertips of every hardcore drug abuser and dealer in the country.
Opposition politicians last night criticised the partial suppression of the Birt report on drugs, saying it was a stark example of the misuse of the Freedom of Information Act.
The Liberal Democrats' home affairs spokesman, Mark Oaten, called on the information commissioner to order full disclosure. "What this report shows and what the government is too paranoid to admit is that the 'war on drugs' is a disaster. We need an evidence-led debate about the way forward but if they withhold the evidence we can't have the debate."
Danny Kushlik of the Transform drugs policy foundation, which campaigns for legalisation, said the government was using the act to hide the parts of the report which demonstrated that, far from reducing production, trafficking and supply, prohibition spawned the business.
"The fact that part of the report was released late on Friday night, right before Live 8 and the G8 meeting, shows how intent the government is on 'burying bad news'. Fortunately, they won't get away with it."
The suppressed pages say that the drugs supply market into Britain is sophisticated and attempts to intervene have not resulted in sustainable disruption to the market at any level. "Government interventions against the drug business are a cost of business, rather than a substantive threat to the industry's viability," it concludes.
An economic model made for Downing Street shows that the profits per kilo for a major Afghan trafficker into Britain carry a profit margin as high as 58% - higher than Louis Vuitton's margin of 48% or Gucci's 30%.
"Because upstream UK suppliers enjoy high profits, they are more able to absorb the cost of interception. Thus up stream seizures may temporarily impact street availability but are unlikely to threaten the viability of any individual business."
Emphasising the inadequacy of seizure rates, the study says the result over the past 10 to 15 years has been that, "despite interventions at every point in the supply chain, cocaine and heroin consumption has been rising, prices falling and drugs have continued to reach users".
It concludes that even if the government succeeded in reducing the availability of drugs, that could backfire because the most ad dicted, "high harm" users might commit more crimes to fund the purchase of ever more expensive drugs.
The report says the annual cost of crimes committed by an estimated 280,000 high harm drug users to support their cocaine and heroin habits has reached £16bn a year - a figure which rises to £24bn if the costs to the nation's health and "social functioning harms" are included.
Only 20% of the 280,000 high harm drug users are receiving treatment or in prison at any one time. The report notes that those who are in treatment tend not to stay with it for long.
It says that more than 3 million people in the UK use illicit drugs every year and compares the 749 deaths annually from heroin and methadone with the 6,000 deaths from alcohol abuse and 100,000 from tobacco. It reveals that there are 674 hospital admissions on mental health grounds resulting from cannabis use, compared to 3,480 for heroin users.
The report says the drug supply business is large, highly flexible and very adaptable, and even if supply-side interventions were more effective it is not clear that the impact of the harm caused by serious drug users would be reduced.
It argues that targeting distributors and wholesalers does remove drugs before they hit the streets in small quantities but such operations are resource-intensive.
Equally, targeting street dealers helps reduce the social problems they cause but dealers are quickly replaced and only tiny quantities of drugs are removed from circulation.
The outlook for stopping drug production in developing countries is equally gloomy and embarrassing to the British government, which is leading attempts to curb heroin production in Afghanistan.
The report says a policy of compensated, forced eradication is very expensive and actually encourages further planting by farmers, while the alternative of a comprehensive set of development interventions is also expensive, takes time and might only displace cultivation to other countries.
The report was supposed to be phase one of Downing Street's reappraisal of official drugs policy.
In December 2003, phase two, titled Diagnoses and Recommendations and which also remains unpublished, was produced by Lord Birt. It ignored the reported ineffectiveness of the attempts to curb drug trafficking and recommended the compulsory treatment of arrested drug addicts. Powers to enable that are contained in the latest drugs legislation.

Powers to enable that are contained in the latest drugs legislation.

things are getting hectic
things are looking up for ron paul he has just raised 1.2 million in 7 days after a request to the base and they also painted the town ron 100 times all over the natin i am sure this thing has more than the 4 % of people behind it the polls are not doing justice to it thats my take and as if t prove it every state is changing their primaries to closed and moving up the date to earlier and earliler
closed primaries means the suppport base of paul which spans all political spectrums is going to get locked outmove to block out ron paul
Ron Paul Betting Odds Could be Impacted by New Voting Rules
Voting Rules Changed at Last Minute Will Shut out Votes for 2008 US Presidential candidate Ron Paul, according to Gambling911.com Special Contributor Jennifer Reynolds. Ms. Reynolds regularly reports on the Ron Paul campaign for the Gambling911.com website. Dr. Paul, as many of you already know, is opposed to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) and there are many in the online gambling space who would love to see him get elected into office next year.
But it turns out his own party is going to make this an even more difficult task.
"Many states, in an effort to shut out Ron Paul are now closing their primaries," reports Reynolds. "That means that only Republicans can vote in the Presidential primaries for a Republican candidate."
And this could have a tremendous impact on Ron Paul betting odds, though probably not in the next few weeks. Ron Paul odds were slashed to 6 to 1 over this past weekend, making him a bigger favorite than Mitt Romney.
Jennifer Reynolds article in its entirety appears below. Remember to follow all the latest cutting edge Ron Paul news as it pertains to Presidential betting odds at Gambling911.com, your political betting news headquarters. Add us to your favorite websites.

Ron Paul's popularity bridges the gap between all groups. He is truly a bi-partisan politician. Republicans like him, Libertarians like him, Independents are supporting him as well as many Democrats who see his small government, anti-war stance as attractive.
Ron Paul is the first person in decades to have so many diverse groups support him. It is easy to see why: he believes in freedom and liberty for all. That includes the liberty to not have to go to war and the liberty to keep your entire paycheck. Only days ago he introduced the Tax Free Tips Act because by taxing tips, the IRS punishes workers for "doing a superior job." People in this country are fed up with being lied to and stolen from. They want the war over with and they want it ended NOW.
Ron Paul is fast becoming the only candidate in either party to pledge to end the war. People in general are sick of having no power to do anything and the majority of Americans believe that things are going to get worse for them in the coming years, not better. But Ron Paul offers hope to change all of that. He is truly the only man for the people. What is so amazing that so many Democrats, Independents and Libertarians are planning on voting for him. For those of you that fall into that class, the established Republicans do not want you to do that and are changing rules as we speak to try to shut you out at the voting window.
Many states, in an effort to shut out Ron Paul are now closing their primaries. That means that only Republicans can vote in the Presidential primaries for a Republican candidate. Many states are doing this quickly and quietly and giving people very little time to learn about the new rules. For example, New Hampshire decided only a week ago that you will now have to change your party affiliation by October 12, 2007 or it will be too late to do so. New Hampshire also has a closed primary and only Republicans and possibly Independents will be allowed to vote for Ron Paul.
In New York, you must be registered as a Republican or you cannot vote for Ron Paul and again, you must make this decision by October 12, 2007 or it will be too late. In New York, however, Independents cannot vote for Ron Paul. Same with New Jersey and many states around the nation. I hesitate to give you a link to a site that has correct information about voting in all 50 states because I have yet to find one that does not have an error and besides, this information is changing daily, as Ron Paul gains momentum. The people in power are doing their best to shut out the multitude of voices that want to vote for Ron Paul. If you are a Ron Paul supporter, or even thinking about becoming a Ron Paul supporter, please become a registered Republican immediately so that no matter what your state does to change the rules out from under you, you will still be allowed to vote for this great man.
All of these arbitrary deadlines are designed to keep a candidate such as Ron Paul from gaining momentum and making a last minute push. Effectively, Ron Paul has until October 12, 2007 to get as many Democrats, and others to switch sides in key states like New York and New Hampshire, or they will not be able to vote for Ron Paul in the primaries. That means that the people in power have shortened the Ron Paul campaign to less than two weeks with the stroke of a pen! The Ron Paul campaign now has less than two weeks to teach people about his candidacy and his policies. As of this moment, in New Hampshire you may be registered as an Independent and still vote for Ron Paul. Not so in New York. In New York you must be a registered Republican by October 12, to vote for Ron Paul (Independents cannot vote in the primaries at all). However, for those of you in New Hampshire reading this, I wouldn't trust that come election day the rules won't have been changed on you again. To be safe, make sure your voter registration card says Republican.
So, all of you sitting on the fence folks, the fence is about to crumble beneath you and you will not have the ability to affect the election at all. The rules are changing all over the place for Independents. Now, if you are an Independent in New York or Arizona or New Jersey and many other states you will not be allowed to vote in any primary at all. You will only be able to sit on the sidelines and watch as other people decide for you who your choices are. So get busy! Hurry up and re-register.
In another effort to stem the rising tide of Ron Paul supporters California this week just announced that they too would close their Presidential Primary, again shutting out Independents. (Despite the fact that the voters of California voted on March 26, 1996 to be make it an open primary state). So, once again, unless you are a registered Republican you cannot vote for Ron Paul if you live in California. The only good news, is that as of this moment, the deadline to change your registration is January 21, 2008. However, I would not depend on that. If it looks like Ron Paul might win, they could move that date up too. So don't put this off.
Arizona pulled a sneaky move on its voters. Arizona is an open primary state. That means that anyone can vote in any race - except, and here is the catch, in the Presidential Primary. How can they get away with that? Because, they don't actually call the Presidential Primary a primary at all, it is now officially called a Presidential Preference Election. So, with that new name comes new rules. Arizona actually did this many years ago, but most of Arizona's residents are unaware of this rule. As a result, many many people who want to vote for Ron Paul will be shut out because they think they can stay Independent or "party undeclared" and still get to vote. They will be rudely met by voting proctors who will turn them away at the door.
On top of all of this, many states are moving their primaries up earlier and earlier this year so that a come-from-behind candidate had better do his coming-from-behind in a sprint. Worse yet, if you call the official Secretary of State's office to find out the voting rules, you are likely to get faulty information. In my tiny sampling of seven calls, five of the states gave out incorrect information that if relied upon, would result in that voter not being allowed to vote for Ron Paul. The best place to get correct information is from your state's GOP. (But do not tell them who you are planning on voting for or they may make a mistake in the information. Beware of answers that begin with "I think..." that is almost always followed by a guess and often misinformation. Make them do the work and find out the real dates.) Here is one site that has some information, but please do not rely upon it as the rules may have changed by the time you read it. It will help you find links to places to change your registration.
It is appalling that states are allowed to change their voting rules at the last minute so most people will not hear of the change. It is more appalling that when calling an official state office you are given incorrect information. It is most appalling that millions of Ron Paul voters may not get to vote for their man because they didn't know the rules were switched on them.
So, for all of you Ron Paul supporters out there: Switch now. Hurry. Sign up to be a Republican if you aren't already, get that official voter registration card in hand so on primary election day no one can take away your right to vote! It doesn't matter if right now your state is an open primary state, or they claim to allow Independents to vote, they may close it tomorrow as California just did and they may give you only three weeks to make the change as New Hampshire did. Don't take the risk. Become Republican today. I know this is not fair. I know that the rules used to be different. I know, you may not want to be a Republican but still want to vote for Ron Paul. Please don't let your pride and their trickery get in the way of you voting for the man you want.
And remember New Yorkers and folks from New Hampshire - You have less than two weeks left. HURRY! The deadline is October 12, October 12, October 12... make that your new mantra. Please tell all of your friends.
For you Democrats out there who wanted the war to stop only to find that your party seems content on this war lasting another decade or so, Ron Paul voted against the war in the first place and would vote to stop it the minute he took office, in January of 2009. Isn't another 15 months enough time for this war to rage on and try to end with a "win." I know you may not want to switch parties. But think of it this way, if you do switch, and Ron Paul loses, then that will be another Republican who abandons the party come general election day, so you can have a little taste of revenge for them making you switch parties to vote for this man. How do you know that Ron Paul won't lie and keep this war going too? You can trust a man to behave in the future the way he has behaved in the past.
Protect your right to vote. Don't let them steal the greatest man in history away from you before you have even learned about him. Check out the www.ronpaulportal.com to find links to many ways to learn about Ron Paul. My favorites are the Ron Paul Library link and the You Tube videos.
And they call this a democracy? Ha!
